Security
Introduction
At Community Bank, we take the security and privacy of our customers' accounts and personal information very seriously. A few of the things we do at Community Bank to ensure this security and privacy are listed below.
Computer Security:
Keeping your financial and personal information secure and confidential is one of our most important responsibilities. Your information remains secure because our computer systems are protected in the following ways:
- Computer anti-virus protection detects and prevents viruses from entering our computer network systems.
- Firewalls block unauthorized access by individuals or networks. Firewalls are one way we protect our computer systems that interact with the Internet.
- Secure transmissions ensure information remains confidential. We use encryption technology, such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL), to transmit information between you and us.
- Forms of Authentication are your personal Access ID and your personal Password. In addition we have Device Recognition and Location Recognition. If we don’t recognize your computer, we’ll ask you a question that only you should know the answer to in order to verify your identity. Advances in security technology are constantly evaluated by our experts to ensure that we provide the right protection for you, such as the green bar and pad lock in our internet banking address line.
We have compiled some valuable information to help our customers educate and protect themselves against fraud and online schemes. There are Security Alerts in the Quick Links to the left to browse this information.
